The entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. The office is disorganized, and no one seems able to clearly explain the policy terms. I was under the impression that my policy was month-to-month. When my renewal came through at nearly three times the original price, I found a better policy elsewhere and immediately called to cancel.

At first, I was told that my refund would be processed. However, after waiting nearly 30 days, I was given a completely different explanation and told that I was not entitled to a refund because of the policy effective dates. The changing explanations have made me feel as though my money is being withheld unfairly, possibly to protect the agent’s commission. I expect a clear, written explanation of the charges and an immediate resolution.

If the policy terms and effective dates had been clearly explained from the beginning, this situation could have been avoided.

The customer service has been just as frustrating. The person answering the phone had no idea how to resolve the issue, while State Farm’s main office simply told me to contact the agent. I have emailed the agent twice and received no response.

This is not the only issue I have experienced. I have also had concerns about non-fault accidents being reported as at-fault to LexisNexis, quotes changing days later because the original amount supposedly was incorrect, and underwriting placing unrelated people who previously lived at the same address onto an account.

On top of that, agents constantly call trying to sell additional products that are outrageously expensive.

At this point, I have completely lost confidence in State Farm. Insurance is expensive enough without having to fight to recover money I was initially told would be refunded. I will never use State Farm again and strongly encourage others to read the fine print, ask specific questions, and get all promises about refunds or cancellations in writing before purchasing a policy."

"I called and spoke with a young lady (Bree, or Brianna) , not sure. I called regarding a letter I received regarding my policies with State Farm. The letter had stated my policies would be increasing, however Bree, Brianna? Reassured me my policy was actually decreasing . She explained in details why they were decreasing. She also explained an incentive State Farm had implemented in 2025, that entitled me to a small refund of the 2025 policies. Bree was very polite, informative and provided me peace of mind. Thinking my day was about to turn into chaos, stress and turmoil I followed their businesses instructions and made the call.
To my great surprise, a Ms.Taylor of State Farm answered and honestly she was the Katz meow because after a few painless questions and her reassurance that I would soon to be taken care of was true to her word.
Ms. Taylor was courteous, quick and efficient. Most importantly, to me at the time, very kind and polite bringing a positive and energetic attitude that cut through all of the hurdles like she was genuinely concerned in taking care of her client, me. In under 30 minutes she had the coverage approved, information forwarded and my truck repaired faster than a scalded…well you know.
